mission of the GIS Committee is:
The
Massachusetts Association of Assessing Officers, Inc. (MAAO) Geographical
Information Systems (GIS) Committee. Promoting the development and
use of GIS by Tax Assessors and other municipal departments. This
powerful technology can (among other things) display spacially a broad
range of data
correlated with the geographical references that the data relates
to. If a picture is worth a thousand words, a GIS map is worth a million.
