MAAO Virtual Summer Conference: June 23-25, 2020:Our Education Committee has worked hard to put together a top-notch education program and we are excited to move forward with our Virtual Summer Conference June 23-25, 2020.  The MAAO is pleased to have Jon Wortmann, Executive and Mental Coach, Trainer and Speaker, joining us each to day.  Jon will be offering 15 Ways to Sane or Saner in the New World; Virtual Communication: How to Effectively Build Relationships in ZoomLand; and, Burnout Recovery: How to handle all this Change and Feel Better this Summer. We will also have sessions on: Issues in Assessing and Collecting Taxes; Personal Exemptions; Open Meeting Law; Parliamentary Procedures and Robert's Rules of Order Demystified: How to Take Commotion Out of the Motion; The ABCs of TIFs, DIFs, TIEs, and STAs;Solar PILOTS; and, What's New at DLS.  Along with our regular programming the MAAO will host our Annual Meeting, as well as an online family friendly Bingo night as a fundraiser for the MAAO Scholarship Fund (more information regarding this event will be forthcoming).

MAAO Discussion Board/Forum: The MAAO has started a new Forum (discussion board). The first discussion board is COVID in Assessment. It is located along the top rail of the website.   The first Discussion Board is in regards to your municipalities regarding COVID in Assessment. Please take a moment to go in and answer the questions. In order to reply you must be logged in. MAAO Forum

COVID-19 (Coronavirus): The MAAO is very sensitive to the concerns regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and upcoming MAAO offerings.The MAAO has made the decision to postpone or cancel upcoming in-person Course/Workshop/Conferences through August 31, 2020. Future in-person offerings will be reassessed when more information regarding social gatherings is updated in the meantime the MAAO has been working to offer on-line offerings.
