Berkshire County Assessors Association 95th Annual Fall Meeting
Please join us as we feature renowned Chief Assessor of the Town of Brookline, Gary McCabe who will present on “Changes in Assessing Electric & Gas Utility Transmission & Distribution Personal Property”. Gary will discuss recent case law impacting 504 valuation methodology, utility personal property data gathering and DOR reporting requirements. Gary will also provide guidance and practical steps on how to comply with mandated BLA 504 valuation method changes. We’ll review the impact of potential litigation, Legal Finance Opinion (LFO) 2019-1, DLS’s release of new/modified Form of List FY2021 “T&D” (electric and gas transmission & distribution companies), State Tax Form 2-504-G (Gas Co.) and State Tax Form 2-504-E (Electric Co). Every community will be impacted by these changes. At the very least, you must be aware of what is expected and milestone dates set out by the DOR. It’s important that everyone attend.
