MAAO Winter Meeting

 

Dates: February 12, 2020

Time: 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (no lunch will be provided)

The cost for the 1/2 day meeting: MAAO Member - $60.00: Non-Member - $135.00, if registered by February 5th. The fee will increase by $50.00 on February 6th.

 

MAAO Cancellation Policy: To receive a refund, you must notify Paula Rubley via email at assistant@maao.org by February 5, 2020, there are no refunds granted after that date.

9:45 am              Personal Property Tax Exemptions

This session will focus on personal property tax exemptions, the issues of entity classification that govern them, and factfinding tools assessors can use to investigate claims of exemption. There will also be a discussion regarding the new, optional, form of list by which utilities may report their personal property assets subject to local taxation.

This session will be a demonstration of how to prepare for an ATB hearing using both a Quantitative and a Qualitative adjustment grid. There will be a discussion on the difference and when to use which grid.
