MAAO Sponsored IAAO Course 101 - Fundamentals of Real Property Appraisal (MAAO is accepting this Course in replacement of MAAO Course 1 OR Course 2). This course is designed to provide students with an understanding and working knowledge of the procedures and techniques required to estimate the market value of vacant and improved properties. This course concentrates on the skills you need to estimate the market value of properties using two approaches to value: the cost approach and the sales comparison approach. Recommended (not required) additional textbook: IAAO Property Assessment Valuation (PAV) (3rd edition) at an additional fee beyond the SRM (Student Reference Manual) provided with your registration. This book is not required in order to take the course but is very helpful for your learning experience. The additional fee for this book, if purchased through the MAAO as a part of this registration, is $50.00.
Dates: March 5, 6, 12, 13 and the final exam on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Please note that we have a snow day of March 14, 2020 in case of inclement weather.

Time: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with 1 hour for lunch (lunch is not included)
Credit: This course is approved for 33.50 MAAO recertification credits and has been approved for 33.5 hours of DPL appraisal credits (30 credits without the exam)
The cost for the course will be: MAAO Member - $545.00: Non-Member - $620.00, if registered by February 5, 2020. The fee will increase by $50.00 on February 6, 2020.
MAAO Cancellation Policy: To receive a refund, you must notify Paula Rubley via email at firstname.lastname@example.org by February 26, 2020, there are no refunds granted after that date.
