Good morning, MAAO members. Attached you will find the holiday presentation on Personal Property Assessing by Mr. Richard J. Conti ASA, ARM/PP, MAA. It is also available under the Education tab (https://maao.org/page/PresentationMaterials).

The presentation focused on assessing personal property with a holiday twist. Let's say climate change caused Santa to relocate his North Pole Sole Proprietor operation to your community. He continues to maintain his primary residence in Boston and a vacation home in your community.

In this scenario, what would his "Form of List" look like? How would you tax his secondary residence and all the personal property?

Please note, no credit for the tour, but it is a fun ride.
